a literary magazine created with the intent to magnify marginalized voices
Started by two writers, Ghost Girls strives to be a home for creatives who often feel pushed to the margins, both in publishing and in their everyday lives.
Published in semiannual volumes organized around a central theme, Ghost Girls is a literary magazine which welcomes all submissions, but is made by and for queer people, with the intent to center, magnify, explore, and uplift marginalized voices. We are particularly interested in the works of BIPOC, queer and trans folks, and women. We are also interested in the experimental, the unpolished, the weird, and the messy. We are drawn to art that hurts a little, takes risks, and brings us closer to each other—especially if it shows us an often untold perspective—which is exactly why we love the collaborative, messy art of zine making.
